Pre-Treatment Instructions
- Do NOT use any active ingredients such as hydroxy acids (AHA, BHA, salicylic acid), retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula), or any other 'active' skincare products.
- Keep your skin hydrated before and after treatment.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment.
- Do not use exfoliating products for 24 hours prior to treatment.
- Avoid self-tanning agents and UV exposure for 14 days prior to treatment.
- Avoid waxing, bleaching, or hair removal for 14 days prior to treatment.
- If you are taking a blood thinner, aspirin, or other medications, you may be required to obtain a GP approval letter for the treatment.
- On the day of treatment, please do not apply makeup.
- If you are planning to have Botox or fillers, please allow 2 weeks after your Botox appointment before scheduling BioRePeel.
Post-Treatment Instructions
- Sensitivity: Immediately after your treatment, your skin may be more sensitive than usual. Use tepid water to wash the treated area for the first 24 hours.
- Cleansing: After 24 hours, use a gentle cleanser on the face for the following 48 hours, and pat the skin dry gently.
- Makeup: Avoid non-mineral makeup for 48 hours post-treatment. Do not apply any makeup with a brush unless it’s new or recently cleaned.
- Hydration: Keep the skin hydrated with a gentle moisturizer.
- Medications: Avoid inflammatory medicines for at least two weeks post-treatment.
- Sunscreen and Makeup: Do not apply makeup or sunscreen for 24 hours after the procedure.
- Sun Protection: After the initial 24 hours, apply a broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with a minimum SPF 30 daily for at least two weeks. A mineral-based sunscreen is highly recommended..
